The Ministerial and Parliamentary Services (MAPS) website contains extensive content ranging from forms, circulars, handbooks and legislative framework around Senators and Members’ work expenses and travel entitlements.
The MAPS team, who work within the Department of Finance, selected OPC to update the design of the MAPS website whilst redeveloping the website on the govCMS platform.
Why was OPC chosen?
OPC has been providing ongoing Drupal web services to the Department of Finance for nearly a decade.
Project goals, requirements and outcomes
The primary objectives of the new MAPS website were to contemporise the design, restructure content and migrate the website to the govCMS platform
The design phase involved the development of design concepts, information architecture and wireframes. This design refresh was conducted in line with the Corporate Identity Style Guide after a discovery phase was undertaken to identify the overall goals of the new site with specific questions targeting message, audience, content, look & feel and functionality of the site.
The Development phase involved the setup of the development environment, installation and configuration of the govCMS Drupal distribution and common elements, theme development and responsive theme enhancements and all functional development.
Support and maintenance
OPC provided a 45 day warranty period, post launch, covering warrantable issues with the Drupal and custom-built functional components. OPC provided training to MAPS stakeholders.
